Farmers’ Gate opens in two directions. Our Market is at the center of a network that integrates the growing number of pasture-based farm operations and the growing number of consumers who are searching for good local meat – both sides share our enthusiasm for local, pasture-based meats.

As your butcher, our job is to find and source top quality meat and then to butcher and package all products with respect, knowledge, and skill. Farmers’ Gate Market only works with farmers who meet our rigorous criteria: (1) pasture-based farming; (2) humane treatment of animals; (3) environmentally sustainable farming practices; and (4) good and honest people. As a result, when you buy meat from the Farmers’ Gate, you can be assured that it is locally produced, sustainably raised, respectfully slaughtered, and skillfully cut and wrapped.

Farmers’Gate Market is removing the veil that has obscured the production of meat over the past 50 years. We want you to know where your meat comes from, how it is raised, and that it is slaughtered and butchered with respect and knowledge.
